Noises problem
1996 Ford Thunderbird V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

there is a loud squeek comming from under the front of car when turning . i've had my hand on the rack n pinion housing when the wheel was being turned and felt a vibration that occured in time with the squeek . it sounds like something needs to be lubed but what is it ? is there supposed to be lube or greese on the shafts ?
