I was driving my car when the temp go a little high when i pulled off the freeway the oil pressue gauge went all the way to low the car made all kinds of noise i put the car in nuetral oil pressure went back to normal i put water in and things seem to be ok oil pressure gauge reads a little lower than before

hi you need to know how much oil pressure you really have use a oil pressure tester to find this out.it sounds like it was hotter then your guage was telling you. but if oil pressure is fine and eng temp is normal and no eng noise. then you just have a weak pump. but if any of these other things are not right then expect major eng probs in the near future
