I have a 1995 ford T-Bird 4.6L V8, E4OD Automatic transmission, car set for a few months becase of a coolent leak, after repairing the coolent leak, I took the car for a drive and it run and shifted through all the gears really good. parked it in the drive-way.
Two days later I went to drive it, started the car but it in reverse and backed out, stoped put it in drive and nothing car dont move! It works great in reverse but no forward in any gear. UNLESS I put it in drive and rev it up really high and hold it there, WHAM the car jumps into drive, once in drive it works fine. But soon as you take it out of drive then its the same thing all over. works fine in reverse, will not go into drive with out reving the RPMS like a drag racer.. inside the trany pan it look new! What would make it act like this? I'm at a loss.Hope some one knows how to care this, thanks for your time.

change the fluid and filter, the filter might be getting clogged. try letting it run for a while before you put it in drive. see if it acts diferent.
