1966 Ford Thunderbird Stop light relay...

All relays are under the hood in the power distribution box.

What does it look like and where is it licated under the hood?

First, sorry. I thought it was a 96. As far as a relay, I don't believe there is one on a 66. The brake light switch determined when the light came on. Can you explaine what is happening?

The problem is the brake lights are on all the time...my mechanic finaly got to the brake light switch and found it was working properly.

Concourse Parts lists a relay, part #0C6SZ-13482-A for late 65/66 Thunderbirds with a 4 wire pigtail. I talked to them and they said either of the parts could be the problem but they didn't know where the relay was loacted. Also found it on the schmatic but it doesn't say where it is.

Being a convertible this car has many relays that operate the top...most of them are in the trunk and I don't want anyone messing with those because it has taken me 5 years and 6 mechanics to get the top to work properly.

Someone somewhere must know where this relay is.

I will go to my parents house tonight. I have several older Chilton manuals there, but I can't remember if they go back that far. Also, the online manual that we use doesn't go back that far.
