heater core

1994 ford tempo GL 120000 miles. I am replacing the heater core. I have the dashboard almost off but it is hanging up on something close to the headlight switch. I can not see it and do not know what it is. Can you help? Thank you

Why are you taking the dashboard off? My Haynes says to remove the floor duct, which I did on my 87. Then you can take off the housing for the heater core and easily remove the core.
