alright, so ive gotten a new stereo, replaced all factory speakers in my '92 ford tempo. my brother hooked me up with two 10" subs with a poineer amp. how awesome is he? 8)

anyways, ive gotten the power, ground, speakers, and RCA cables hooked up. the only thing left for me to do is run the Amp Remote Turn On Lead wire from the new stereo to the amp.

i didnt think of this when buying the kit to hook all this up. in the new stereo instructions for hooking in an amp, it says "Amp Remote's Max Supply Current is 0.3 A"

i can only think that, that means the wire carries no more than 0.3 Amps of electricity to switch on/off the amp.

the problem that i have is what kind of wire would i need or should i use to hook this bad boy up?

If you got a good stereo there should be a blue wire comming out of the harness that's labeled remote power in the manual. Just take any normal speaker wire, or if you bought a hookup kit it would have come with all the necessary wires, and run it to the remote connection on the amp. Pretty simple.

i just read accessory wire and i drew a blank from that.

is it true that without the Lead Wire, the amp will not turn on at all?

Absolutely. Cause then it just has power but has nothing to do with it since it's not getting told to turn on.

i had read that once before and could only assume that it was true. but now i can go from boom boom, to boom boom thump thump :)

thanks for the help. really all i got to do now is get that lead connected and then hide all the wires in the car.
