Temperature gauge stuck in cold position, temperature sensor location needed

According to replacement part pictures it has a small threaded post for a connector in stead of the common large plastic plug style. Has a push on rubber wire end similar to starter relay ignition input. Haynes manual shows it located slightly forward of center under thermostat housing on right side of head.follow upper radiator hose to thermostat housing.thermostat housing itself has two coolant sensors on top that have plastic plug in connections.these are for the radiator fan and the computer. You can see the temperature sensor by looking over behind back of ignition coil mount. You will have to remove air box and rubber ducting to get clear access. Before replacing you should check for corrosion of connector. Also ground the connector wire to engine block to test gauge circuitry function.
