I start up the car and it wont stay on. I cleaned the throttle body and fuel injection. New Fuel Filter puls wires the works. But i still have my problem. I noticed that the cars exhaust from front to back is cherry red (hot) within a minute underneath the car. Is it an O2 sensor problem or the egr valve or both and how do i determine which one it is?

Hi jboi26,

Thank you for the donation.

When the catalytic converter becomes red hot, it means excessively rich fuel is getting to the exhaust system.

You need to check for a misfiring cylinder due to a faulty spark plug, wires or maybe a stuck injector that is releasing too much fuel.

A faulty/clogged catalytic converter is also possible.
