1994 Ford Tempo

the fuse number thirteen with and ampage of 5 has gone out twice now in one day. i just recently put in a new deck stereo and this may or may not be affecting the fuse. this problem didn't happen until the next day after i put it in. all the instrument lights go out on the dash but the stereo stays on; i am not sure if the stereo is connected with this fuse. the fuse doesnt go out right away when im driving or right away when i turn the stereo on but it randomly choses to go out.

i tried an amp of ten and that went out too not right away but it did go out. then the new deck got stolen out of my car. i put in the stock radio again and i havent tried another fuse yet because when i turn the headlights on the clock light goes off on the stock radio and when i turn the headlights back off the clock light comes back on. could this be a ground wire missing with the stock radio?

the radio has daylight/night light brightness controlled by the lightswitch maybe? not sure. does the fuse blow have anything to do with your lightswitch position? could pop a used switch in to test? if you have the switch in the side of speedometer shroud then it just pop/pry/wiggles out.
