1993 Ford Tempo temp guage

check the single post connection for loose/off/corrosion at the sender which is under the thermostat housing where upper radiator hose goes into head. sender could also be bad? take wire off sender and touch to clean bare metal. the gauge should max out hot! this tells you gauge and wiring are ok, change sender.
