Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Ford Tempo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic unknow miles

A couple of days prior, a brake light, like when you pull the Emergency brake, illuminated on the dash it had parenthesis( )around it, I think it was (B) and then the engine light goes on when clinbing hills but the temperature never rises into the red or past the R on normal, now I started the motor and when I shift into R,D,1 or 2 the motor idle changes but the car will not move.Please advise I only paid $750.00 for the car but its all I have right now.
