1990 Ford Tempo windows and locks

are we talking ALL the locks/windows do or dont work at the same time? that's an old car and the power stuff is known for defective operational problems over time! window motors shear their gear drives and burn out/weaken their built in electrical safety breakers. the lockmotors rubber accordion seals fail and the spiral plunger rod gets corroded and jams! of course not to forget the wrirng for your master switch between the door jam can get flex/broken from fatigue or injury! like i said, all at the same time or not?

Its 2 of the 4 windows but the window and lock works whenever 1 of the 2 windows came down a little but I had to push the button and manually push the window back up.

try to be VERY specific in your desription of the problem. exactly which window and lock,etc.when it happens. if you have to help the window up then it is likely the shear barrels in the gear drive of the motor are broke. that's if you can hear the motor working but the window is not moving. if you cant hear the motor working then the overload breaker in the motor might be fried or your window switch could be defective.if the switch is ok then you can disassemble motor and just bypass the overload breaker to get motor working again. unless it's a power supply problem to those specific devices that are not operating. the exact devices,conditions, and times of failure are helpful in determining which things to check first.
