Electrical problem
1990 Ford Tempo 4 cyl

I removed coil had it tested. It was good. Checked the two wires into the coil. Red/? Good
Green/yellow I think is a ground. I connected a power light meter to the ground and the other side to positive on the battery but no light came on.
So Im thinking its a bad ground on the green/yellow wire. But were does that wire lead to? Tried to find a free wiring diagam, but those are one thing hard to find on the internet!!!!

The dark green/yellow wire goes to the Electronic Engine Control Module pin 4 (IDM) via an ignition supressor resistor..also splits to TFI ignition module on distributor ... it is coil tach signal wire and should have 8 - 10 volts @ KOEO (key on engine off) and 8 - 12 volts @ hot idle .. it should have 21.8k ohms @ key off

The problem was the TFI on the distributer. Replaced the ignition module and the car started right up!!! Thanks So much!!! I had the same problem with my 93 Camaro. The car would die after warming up a little and wouldnt start untill the next day when I tried to start it. Bit it got worse untill it wouldnt start. That module cost me $200!!!!!
