1990 Ford Tempo about 155K (we think)

Hi! We are trying to replace the window motor on the front passenger-side door of this car, and we have a replacement motor, but for the life of us, we cannot figure out exactly how to get to the old motor to yank it.

And, since the motor seems so inaccessible, we are wondering about what kinds of stumbling blocks we're going to come up against when we attempt to install the replacement, and what we might do about them. Can you give us a hint - or three?

The Fords I've done, Taurus mostly, weren't overly hard..first thing I would do is buy a repair manual, Chiltons would probably suffice, then follow directions to remove the door panel, watershield and other pieces in the way.. the motors, if factory, are usually riveted to the mounts,, tape the window in the up position, drill out the rivets and remove the motor,, the rivets used are usually large and not installed with a regular diy'er rivet tool,, what I did was use machine bolts with nuts, checking for clearance issues with surrounding parts, worked beautiful.. hopefully your job can be done not too involved..

Thanks for your help!! Turns out the parts place gave us the wrong motor (well, the right motor but for the wrong door!), so we have to bring it back and get the correct part, and we'll give it another go next weekend.
