1989 Ford Tempo car wont run

the engine will not run, I am getting gas threw to the fuel filter ,if I spray fuel in the intake it runs , when I stop spraying the fuel it stops. I have changed the fuel pump ( I thought the fuel pressure may be low in the old pump , but it still wont run. the car has been sitting 2 years and I want to get it running to sell it
