I need help on this one, my car run pretty hot and when i put antifreeze in it and then start the car the reservoir is empty right away. The second time i pulled over the car was smoking from the top of the engine (behind the valve cover) and smoking from the catalytic converter. (smells like burned antifreeze too). So what could the problem be? Do I need to change the water pump?[img:30dc6bb094]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/547368_CAM_0230_2.jpg[/img:30dc6bb094][img:30dc6bb094]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/547368_CAM_0230_3.jpg[/img:30dc6bb094]

how many times have you gotten car hot? did you drive it any distance while hot? is water coming out of tail pipe? dripping and steam? you may have bad head gasket or antifreeze is dripping on CC from back of engine? your heater hoses and lines and the pump and soft plugs are back there. all are possible leaks. but if water is out tail pipe then most likely head gasket.
