door light on dash

i have a 98 ford taurus. my door sensor always stays on and the doors are all shut tightly. is this a common problem for this model and if so how can i fix it.

check the swiches on the doors might be grounded out or broken. have this problem on my own car, found that door switch was worn grounding the switch keeping the dash door light on.
