Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas of what my problem could be after I had my starter replaced on a Ford Taurus 2003, with 75,000 miles. My car wouldn't start yesterday, and a mechanic friend said it was the starter. So, he replaced it and it started up, but now my battery light, brake light and ABS light don't go off. Also, my a/c is no longer shooting out cold air.
I've been told by another mechanic that something is still wrong with my car, that it could be my battery or alternator now. He states the batterly light, brake lights are not your normal engine codes that need to be turned off after a fix. He says that maybe why my a/c doesn't blow cold air, because battery not strong enough to pull the energy.
If anyone has any ideas or comments about my 2nd mechanic opinion, please let me know. I want to sound liike a smart consumer when dealing with my car problems.
Many thanks!!
