We have a 1995 Taurus SHO with 175000 miles and auto trans. The trouble with the A/C is that it works great when it is cold outside but once it is on for 5-20 minutes in hot or warm weather it quits. If it's hot outside and we haven't used the car, the air will come on for a few minutes. If it's cold outside then the air will last a long time. It has just been recharged by an A/C person. The clutch will not engage and the EATC shows no codes when tested. At first it showed the in car temp sensor bad but that has been replaced. Now it shows all 8's. The hi and low pressure switches are working according to the mechanic. He suggested we change the computer for the A/C but that is $217 from Ford if they have it.

If it's auto temp control check the ambient temp sensor outside the car...
