2006 Taurus that acts like the automatic choke doesn't kick in when trying to start (NO Auto Choke) it turns over fine, new Btry and Alt within 6mo. When starting after having set for several hours, usually overnight, engine doesn't want to stay running once it fires, pupmping accellorator and reving the engine seems to cause the idle speed to increase and it stays running, but the fuel smell indicates that it may have evacuated raw fuel through the exaust. Mechanic states that computer indicates no problems with vehicle sensors and whatever else those $85. courtesy plug-in inspections check...the vehicle operates perfect once it starts and runs for a minute or two. Baffled and concerned, any ideas?
