i was driving and the readout sail check charging system and then the battery light came on and then the car died, a while later it started up and i went to autozone and they checked the battery and the alternator , said it was fine, if you take the positive battery cable from the battery the car kills, it is still doing it but the battery light doesnt come on, the computer shuts off and the car dies, and will later restart, what could be the problem

First, NEVER remove ANY battery cables while the car is running! With all the electronic controls on today's cars you can and most likly WILL damage electronic components! If no damage has occured yet, test the system with a voltmeter with the car running check the voltage at the battery, you should have 14-15 volts and as you turn on accessories you will see the needle fluctuate and return to the 14-15 volt mark, if not the alt/reg is bad...stop engine, whatch needle as car is started, you should see a slight voltage drop of 1-2 volts, if it's more than that, the battery is no good. Also check and clean the cables at both ends. When removing cables, remove the negative(-) first and replace it last!
