I would really appreciate your help. I was wondering how would i be able to bypass the heater core, When the car has been running for awhile, it leaks a lot of radiator fluids, and leaves the car cabin smelling of fish. The leak is right below the passenger seat, I removed the right front tire and i see the leak. Some friends was telling me that its the heater core but the car carpet isn't wet. Any ideas of what it is. The car is a 2004 ford taurus SE. I REALLY APPRECIATE Y"ALLS HELP. THANK U

taste it and spit it right out, does it taste of antifreeze?

if so its the heater core.

if not your AC drain vent is probably plugged and after that is unplugged spray a bleach water mixture in the vents and that shoudl clear it right up.

i cant remember where it is on your vehicle exactly.

to bypass the heater core you can use a radiator flush "T" and just put one end in one hose and one on the other hose leaving the heater core that way it just flows right through it.

Yes. I think its the heater core, from the defrost vents it fogs the windshield. 1 day is fogged the windshield so bad I had to stop in the middle of traffic. But to bypass it I'm not sure............. which hose do i redirect, because its 3 running from the reservoir(2 on top and 1 at the bottom. And yes everyday I have to top off the reservoir everyday.

find the hoses on the heater core itself, right as they go into the heater fire wall to the heater core. put those two together.
