Smells problem
2002 Ford Taurus 6 cyl 109000 miles

There is a strange smell when I start my car and the engine is cold...it smells like celery. It goes away after a couple minutes. Just a few notes: the defroster is on when I start it, with the heat turned all the way up. I also just had the coolant reservoir replaced and had a coolant system flush. I didn't have this smell before the repair.

Thank you for the reply. I found out it was a leak in the water pump, and I was smelling coolant because it puddled up when the engine was cool.
