2002 Ford Taurus 02 taurus cuts off when i get on brakes

I'm having problems with my 02 Ford Taurus cutting off like its not getting gas. Once i get off my brakes it cut off but will crank back up. It does it about 2 or 3 times while I'm driving. The machanic changed the crank shaft position sensor because it was making a loud noise; he also changed the fuel filter. Thought that was the problem but it continued to cut off. Please help! Thanking you in advanced!

Has the fuel pressure been checked?

I dont know but if that's not the problem, what else to check for?

to answer the 1st question, yes the fuel pressure has been checked.

There are many sensors that could cause this. Has the check engine light come on? With the new crank sensor, has the noise stopped?

Yes, the noise stopped and no the check engine light is not on nor has it ever came on but my car is still cutting off when i get to a stop sign or try to put it in gear.

Remove the idle air control motor and see if it is clean and working.
