I have read a post on this forum that to solve the engine jar when shifting my Ford Taurus I need to replace the Cradle Mount and not the Engine Mount. But I can't find anything on the internet about a Cradle Mount. Should I purchase a repair book for it and would it be in there.
Do I need to move the engine to replace this part or is it easier.
Thanks.

Cradle mounts are the mounts (insulators)that go between the frame in front of the car and the body. I would check the motor mounts first, the one in front under the a/c compressor goes out alot in those cars.
