My friend filled up the gas tank with diesel fuel. What do I do to savemy car?

how long has it been driven after filled up with diesel fuel?
first step is to drain all of the gas out of the tank, what a waste of money eh?
next step is to disconnect the fuel lines and rinse them out and change the fuel filter. from there you should be able to put in a few gallons of fresh gas and some fuel system cleaner and let it run.
