CV axle replacement? my car makes a clunking noises?

While driving my car makes a clunking noises under the car. The noises started after we had the transmission changed and have got worse now. CV axle?

There could be few different factors for a clunking noise.
Does the noise increase/decrease while you turn the vehicle?
