1999 Ford Taurus Wrong Fuel Injectors

In December of 2007 a professional repair shop replaced the fuel injectors in my wife's 1999 Tarus Wagon Vortec V6. Now the fuel pump and the O2 sensors have failed. The repair shop has admitted that the injectors they installed in December 2007 were the wrong ones for that engine. Did the wrong injectors damage the fuel pump and O2 sensors and could there be other damage?

Yes it is possible. Too large and the pump would have trouble keeping up and car would run rich causing damage to O2 and convertor (check the convertor).Too small and pressure would be too high and could damage injectors if pressure exceeded 75psi.
Injectors are also rated as high resistance (14-16 ohms) and peak and hold (2-4 ohms).

Have them scan long and short term fuel trim, it will indicate if the PCM was trying to take fuel out of system (reduce injector pulse width).
