1999 Ford Taurus LX; 96,800 miles. Sometimes, the windshield wiper starts wiping even when it is observed. It happens very randomly and is frequent in winter mornings. It also happens (sometimes) when I use the blinker while turning or switching lanes. Usually, it wipes once and stops. Sometimes, it doesn't stop wiping and if I use the windshield liquid spray function to clean the windshield, the wiper stops. Can someone please tell me what the problem could be and that how much would it cost to fix this problem.

sounds like there is a short in the wiring by the switch, or the switch is no longer good, and will need to be replaced.

Dear "Blackop555", thank you very much for your response. Do you have any idea how much it would cost to replace the switch? Thanks again for your help!!

sorry, but it is hard to say what one would cost, i would try with a junk yard, unless you wanna be paying out of your nose with the ford garage.
