1999 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 170k miles

What will happen to my car if a spark plug wire is in the wrong spot? The last one I changed was to short and I switched it with the first one I changed cause it was closer in size to the old wire, I started the car and drove back and forth and it seemed ok.

Hello,

As long as you moved the entire wire from one cylinder to the other there will be no problems.

If you just took the end of the wire and moved it from one plug to the other then you will have a problem, your vehicle will run rough and have a miss in the 2 cylinders you switched.
