My alternator went out two months ago. It just died. I had it rebuilt and put back in. For the last couple weeks my lights would dim slightly when I turned them on. Tonight my battery light came on again and mmy lights dimmed. I'm afraid my alternator is dead again and it is running off my battery I don't know what is causing this. Can you help please??? I can get the parts to fix it and do it myself since I am a single mother I have limited income. What can j do to fix it?

Have to check and make sure its the alternator
start engine and check charging system using a volt meter should have more than battery volts of 12.5 volts
it should be 13.5 to 14.5 volts
check for battery power at the rear of alternator big wire
if not alternator no good need to be replace
good luck
