i have a 1997 taurus with a 3.0 engine and a ax4n automatic , i also have a ax0d trans out of a 1993 taurus i want to know if i can use the ax0d trans in my 1997 if not why and what can i do to modify it to work ? thanx , bill

Not trans expert, but I don't think so.. the axod, I think, eventually morphed in the ax4s, they are not the same.. even if it were installed, chances are your pcm program wouldn't properly be able to control it.. modifications i know nothing about, just find a rebuilt ax4n, updated with all the latest good pieces.
