when the car is put in reverse,the audio will cut out,the radio stays on,but the audio will cut out,and then occasionally it will cut out in drive but not very often,the only time it effects the performance of the engine is when it is cutting out in drive,it will make the steering sluggish.The lack of audio in reverse is not occasionally,when it first happened,it stayed that way.There are no codes set that have anything to do with this,just evap codes.

Probably the Transmission Range sensor (TR). It is located right on top of the transmission and is very easy to replace. I believe it has 8mm bolts.
