yesterday my a/c was cold as ice. now the clutch is slipping. i can hear it "click" try to engage sometimes but when i look the center only spins intermitently and spins very slowly when spinning. it is not cycling on and off just not building up pressure due to the slipping. could this be an electrical problem or is the clutch toast? also before this issue i would hear a loud "click" every time the clutch engaged. i got your response that it might be locking up but it hasn't made any strange noises. any other explanations?

Sounds like the compressor is locking up on its way out
