1995 Ford Taurus windshield washer fluid dioesn't work

My front windshield washer fluid stopped working. When the windshield washer arm button is depressed the wipers come on but no fluid comes out and there is no pump noise. I have never had any problems before with it. Coincidentally this happened right after I had the water pump replaced. I immediately returned to the dealer where the repairs were made and they said the washer line was clogged so they blew out the line and it worked again for about 2-3 weeks. Now I have the same problem again. Wipers come on but no fluid comes out and no pump noise. What could be the problem, what is the fix and could it be related to the water pump repair?

Check that they put the connector back on the washer pump motor, it's located down at the bottom of the windshield wash bottle, little two- holed connector, easy to forget top do..If still not working or connected, the little motor is easy to replace, costs around 10-15 bucks I think.. a little ring to pry out, little lube on the new motor, push it in, use a soket to seat the lock ring.. presto change-o domino, you're golden..

Not a mechanic, but since this just happened to me, I'll give a copper or two. :wink:

I live in a state that has freezing winters, so I first changed the type of washer fluid to one that worked in colder temperatures. It then quit working again.

It turned out the freezes broke the pump, which as the nice person above mentioned is a fairly inexpensive fix.

Moral of the story for me? Use a different windshield solution in the winter=save money on parts. :lol:
