Trying to drain the gas tank on my '95 Ford Taurus with 265,000 miles. First, tried going in thru the fill tube and fill vent but disovered the anti-siphoning screen.
Then located the gas tank drain tube on the right side of the tank. Tried siphoning thru this line without depressurizing the fuel system because I don't have the special tools to relieve pressure at the supply manifold or open the special coupling fittings. Is there another location I can relieve the pressure without special tools? What other methods can I use to drain the tank or relieve the pressure to I can use the drain tube?
Any other description of how the drain tube system works would be great as well. thanks.
