rear signal lights do not work...have tried replacing bulb. the tail lights do work. noticed mouse poop the other day under front passenger floor mat and on engine when adding oil. do you think that they may have chewed wires and if so why do all of the other lights work?

Need to inspect multi-function (turn signal) switch. Ensure there are now broken wires and also test for power at the switch. If power is there and wires are OK suspect faulty switch.

While trying to install radio in my Taurus, 3 fuses where blown - after replacing the blown fuses & checking the rest I started the car & the left turn signal is flashing (fast like it does when the bulb goes out), the left signal wont work at all, AND it wont stop either! I actually had to remove the bulb from the housing because it has almost caused accidents obviously because people think Im turning left when Im not..The bulbs are ok, no fuses are blown..I am not understanding why the indicator continues to flash as though its stuck almost..I am completely frustrated so any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like a broken turn signal switch. Does the right signal work ok? bulbs flash front and rear on the left side?

No, the right turn signal does not work at all - its completely dead compared to the left one that wont STOP flashing (I had to remove the left bulb in front & back - I should also mention that the left indicator on the inside of the car continues to flash!).
And the answer to your next question is yes, the bulbs flash front & rear on the left side (obviously not now since I have removed both front & rear bulbs on the left side).
You mentioned a broken turn signal switch - I should also let you know that we just replaced that not even 3 weeks prior to this incident w/ the signals..it was the "Combination Switch" to be exact, & it wasnt because the turn signals werent working, it was because the windshield wipers had stopped working.
I was wondering if its possible that we could have damaged that new switch somehow when we were trying to install the radio & ended up blowing those 3 fuses because the turn signals worked just fine right before we blew those fuses..do you think we could've damaged the entire switch?..
Someone also said something to me about the "flasher" or the "turn signal relay"..but I have no idea where those things are even located in the car much less what they are...

Sounds like you may be onto something. If all worked prior to installing the combo switch, I think you may have a pinched wire or the such. Take the plastic covers back off and inspect all the wiring.

I checked all fuses, under dash and under hood. The car does not have round flasher in fuse box, and could not locate one under dash. It has three small breakers in fuse box, and all three have power going through them. Stumped. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hello, I am Danny.

The flasher is located above the fuse box. I have attached a few pictures and it is labeled as #18. This does sound like a flasher problem. I have also attached a few tutorials for you to view. Hope this helps and feel free to as any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

seems like you have wiring issue in the steering column where the multi function switch attaches. will need to open up the column and inspect the wiring to ensure nothing is loose or damaged.

The hazzard lights and turn signal lights on my 1995 Ford Taurus GL wagon, 3.0 L w/101,00 miles suddenly stopped working. All interior and exterior light bulbs and fuses are good and hi/low headlights, parking lights work fine HOWEVER only the top rear/middle cargo hatch LED brake light works, the two main rear brake lights/turn signals do not work even though bulbs are good. All other electrical systems appear to be working fine including horn, heater,AC,radio, alternator, wipers, cruise control, defroster, lighter, etc.

What is causing the problem and what/where is the fix? Is it the brake light switch and would it have to be replaced (can I do it?) or is there a breaker somewhere I can reset?

If all fuses are good then you need to test for power through the brake light switch. If brake and turn arent working it sounds more like the turn signal switch is the problem

No hazards-could be the flasher, for the brake lites maybe from the brake switch to the bulb socket an open circuit

Do what Mr.Jack recommended
