Engine Performance problem
1994 Ford Taurus 6 cyl

I have a 94 Ford Taurus that I have recently replced the fuel tank on. Next to the sending unit is the vapor valve. It appears to have only one of the two hoses attached to it, plugged into something... in other words, one of the hoses is free... just sitting there. Is this something that I did when I was removing the old tank or is this normal. To be honest, I thought it was supposed to be that way so I put everything back together that way. Now the caar will start and idle just fine, but when I get up to 20 mph the car dies... could I have messed up installing the sending unit?

I'm not sure which hose it is, but there shouldn't be any unplugged. Was there a place on the sending unit that was open?

Thanks for the quick response... one of the hoses is connected to a cannister on the frame... I havent dropped the tank again yet... I was hoping I did something wrong that could be easily pointed out... like that would be easy for you to tell me sight unseen... (I am an idiot) I'll let you know once I drop the tank and check it out... At least I know it does need to plug into something, thanks... I'll let you know what I find...
