Hi. I have a problem with a sticking brake on the front drivers side. This happened 2 years ago and just happened again. The weather is in the 90s and happened while driving in stop and go traffic. When the brake cools, it unsticks.

The vehicle is a 1994 Ford Ranger Splash with 226200 miles on it. Everything is original except for the regular maintenance items. It is a straight drive with a 4.0L V6.

The brakes and rotors were changed less than 6 months ago. Can anyone tell me what might be causing this problem. The brake sticks so bad that it compromises my brakes and causes them to smoke.

Thanks so much from North Carolina.

May be a caliper slide or piston sticking, may be a collapsed brake hose. The problem may be on the other side and overheating the side that is working.
