finding the PCV valve on a 1997 Ford Ranger

I need to replace the PCV valve on my 1997 Ford Ranger with 3.0L 4 cylinder engine. I can't find it even after looking in the Haynes repair manual. Thanks.

the pvc on the 3.0 should be in the driverside valve cover towards the back
