[quote:f0c7099790="taurus4us"]2001 ford taurus SE 3.0V6 automatic.
Immediately After a professional radiator flush I drove about a half mile shut down and returned about 30 minutes later. car would not crank, battery is good, all I get is a "Click, Click when starter is engaged. I was advised that starter is bad. Replaced with a known good starter same result "click, click" when starter in engaged. Rotated crank shaft manually about 4 inches to a full stop, still same result on cranking.[/quote:f0c7099790]
Hello !!
Check the main Positive Cable all the way from the batt. to the starter..
Also check the connectors (both) and clean the bat. terminals be sure that they are making a clean solid contact, check the ground (negative) cable to the chassis and to the engine be sure that it has a good connection..
the "click" its just the solenoid the motor has no power to start.. (or the solenoid its not closing that contact)
you can try to "feed" the positive directly to the starter but first check all the connections.
Let Us Know after you check this..
We`ll wait for you..
Good Luck!
