My f200 ford ranger and I had a brake light problem and discovered a broken wire. I mended the wire and know my cruise doesnt work. Any hints?

If you give the make modle year and engine type i can pull a diagram and see if the wire you repaired is connected in any way to the cruise. I do know that the cruise is kicked off by the brake switch. Maybe your switch is bad some way.
