I just had my trans rebuilt. The OD light never came on before the trans was rebuilt. Each time I reach between 55-70 MPH the OD starts flashing and stays flashing until I turn off the truck. Once I restart the truck the light stays off. The OD solenoid was replaced. The shop scanned it and found two codes..
1- The system wasnt ready
2- Something about a wire or some voltage being out of range.
The shop told me that it is something electrical and somewhere in the steering column. I think they personally don't know what their talking about, because after the trans was rebuilt I took it the first time back to the shop with the same problem. They scanned it and they told me it was a code for "reaching max speed" and they told me it had to be the OD solenoid. They replaced it and I had to take it back again. Do you know how to solve this problem ? Could their be a TSB on some seal or circuit and switch ? I need to know if its in the trans or not ?

Is OD working? Can you find out what the code was? Did they replace the torque converter when the trans was replaced?

The OD works. It switches on and off each time I hit the switch. I don't have the exact P # codes I remember the shop showing me the scanner with two codes.
1- Something about a system not being ready
2- something about some voltage being out of range
The torque converter was replaced.

I wish I could tell you something, but there are so many "systems" that play a role, it is hard to tell. It could be dealing with the trans control module, shift modules, governor...
