So i purchased this truck in December of 2009. It ran great at first, but as i was driving it home, i went up a steep grade and it began to shutter and really had to work up the hill, even when i shifted into second gear.

After i got it home everything was OK, until a couple weeks later, when i turned on my truck, put it in gear, and then didn't move anywhere. i just sat there. If i give it some gas it will begin to move. Sometimes i need to get the rpms to 2500+. Other times it starts moving at lower rpms. Sometimes it happens when my temperature gauge is in the middle, reading what i assume is "warm". This is an intermittent problem. Sometime i hop in and it turns on and drives great. their is also a random rattling every once in a while when accelerating. I'm not sure what/where it is.

A buddy of mine told me it was something wrong with my transmission, and possibly my torque converter. i have no idea and would like any help possible. thanks in advance.

I bought the vehicle at about 103000 miles, and since have replaced my tranny filter, gotten the fluid flushed, added lucas stop slip, and im not quite sure what else i can do to help besides a rebuild....
