For the last 3 months my truck has chipped loudly when I initially turn the car on and when I am not on the throttle. It has began to stall out at stop lights and stutter at around 40mph. When it does stall I can easily turn the car off and start it right back up and usually make it to my destination without it happening again. When I am on the throttle I don't worry too much but stop and go traffic is another story. I am hoping this is an easy fix. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I'm thinking throttle body or fuel pump.

As far as the noise, try this. With the engine running, pour a little water on the belt to see if the sound stops or changes. If it does, then the belt is loose or bad.

As far as the engine dieing, has the check engine light come on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks, fuel pressure...?
