I've read that you should not use carb cleaner or brake cleaner on the MAF but to use electrical component cleaner instead. Why? Or doesn't it make any difference?

The MAF sensor is a very delicate wire .. I would use a MAF cleaner which is avaliable form most autoparts stores !
