gear ratio? Found gear and pinion?

Hi i'm new here. found gear and pinion spoil. bought new one and installed, i when to normal workshop to get it done. still having little sound while i drive. service center charges very high. where can i get the proper drawing and installation guide. already tried few website, useless. coz i don't know which type gear is in my car. on my old set written there DANA T48884 420 40-9 IN THE RING GEAR and DANA 48883 F7L350 40-9.the serial numbers does not match.

Hello,

Typically, you will get drive train noises due to worn components, like worn gears or joints.
Keep in mind that when a new differential is installed it is possible that there would be metal shavings during the break-in period and that could make the noise.

Check the fluid for any metal shavings and change out as needed.

Installation for the components are the same regardless of which rear end your truck has. To find out the exact part number you will need, it will be best to call your local Ford dealer and provide them with the VIN. They will have the ability to look up and tell you what was installed at the factory for your specific truck.
