Engine Performance problem
2001 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130.00 miles
My truck starting running rough when I cranked it up yesterday morning. I raised the hood and checked for a vacuum hose missing and found the one that plugs into the air duct which leads to the air filter. I plugged in back in and it did not improve the condition. Also the engine light stays on and it runs rough between 40 and 50 miles an hour and at 70 in starts to run OK. I still beleive that something was attached to the line on the air duct. The idle is also effected but it does not shut -off. I would like to have a diagram of that area to determine if this is the problem or find out if I'm even in the ballpark.
