Noises problem
2000 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger 4WD that makes a squeak and squeal when you turn the wheel. It is not locked into 4 wheel and sounds like the noise is either coming from the boot or the shock in the front driver's side. Any ideas what it might be?

Iwould check the shock, and ball/tir rod ends. Did not see a mileage listed, but if it's a high milge truck, suspect worn front end parts.
