Transmission problem
2000 Ford Ranger Two Wheel Drive Manual

Every year for the last several years my clutch stops working during the cold winter months. As soon as it gets warm again the problem goes away. Do you know what causes this to happen and how do I fix this? there also is a minor leak in the clutch fluid system.

the colder it gets outside the less there is of resistance. right now there is a little resistance when the pedal is almost compleatly to the floor. In a month or two the problem will usualy go away. When it starts to get warmer outside there will be a gradule increase of resistance over time, until it starts to work without any problems.

Have you tried bleeding? is leak in slave cylinder? if it leaks then air will enter and colder temps will cause air to compress
